1. Our Commitment to Safety

At LakPage, safety is a core part of everything we build. We are committed to creating a platform where users can discover pages and share content in a safe and respectful environment. These standards apply to all users, pages, and content on our platform.

2. Content Moderation

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are strictly prohibited on LakPage:

Violence and threats — Content that promotes, glorifies, or incites violence against individuals or groups.
Hate speech — Content that attacks, demeans, or discriminates against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin.
Harassment and bullying — Content intended to intimidate, degrade, or harass another person.
Sexual exploitation — Sexually explicit content, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that sexualizes minors in any way.
Misinformation — Deliberately false or misleading content that could cause harm, including health misinformation and election-related falsehoods.
Spam and scams — Deceptive, fraudulent, or unsolicited bulk content designed to mislead users.
Illegal activities — Content that promotes or facilitates illegal activities, including drug trafficking, weapons sales, or fraud.
Intellectual property violations — Content that infringes on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
Impersonation — Pretending to be another person, page, or entity in a misleading manner.
Self-harm — Content that promotes or encourages self-harm or suicide.

How We Moderate Content

User reporting — Any user can report content, pages, or other users that violate our standards.
Admin review — Our admin team reviews all reports and takes action within 24-48 hours.
Page approval — All new pages are reviewed and approved by our admin team before they become visible to the public.
Post moderation — Admins can edit or remove posts that violate our safety standards.

3. User Safety Features

Blocking & Reporting

Users can block other users to prevent them from seeing their profile or interacting with their content. All reports are reviewed by our admin team.

Authentication & Identity

All users must sign in with a verified Google or Apple account. This ensures accountability and reduces the risk of fake accounts, bots, and anonymous abuse.

Email Verification

Users who sign in with Apple's private relay email are asked to verify their real email address via a one-time code (OTP), ensuring reliable communication.

Data Privacy

We respect user privacy and handle data in compliance with GDPR. Users can delete their account and all associated data at any time through their profile settings. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

4. Page Standards

Pages on LakPage must comply with the following standards:

All pages must be reviewed and approved by an admin before becoming public.
Page profiles must contain accurate and truthful information.
Pages must not promote illegal activities, hate speech, or harmful content.
Page admins are responsible for moderating content posted within their page.
AI-powered chatbots must only use truthful, relevant knowledge base content.

5. Child Safety

LakPage is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or process data from children under 13. Users must agree to our Terms of Service, which include a minimum age requirement.

Any content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors will be immediately removed, and the responsible account will be permanently banned and reported to the appropriate authorities.

6. Enforcement Actions

When a violation of our safety standards is identified, we may take one or more of the following actions:

Content removal — The violating content (post, comment, or media) is removed.
Warning — The user or page is notified of the violation.
Account restriction — Temporary or permanent blocking of the user's account.
Page blocking — The page is blocked from public visibility.
Law enforcement referral — In cases involving illegal activity, child exploitation, or threats of violence, we will cooperate with law enforcement authorities.

7. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behavior that violates our safety standards, you can:

Use the Report button available on posts, profiles, and pages within the app.
Email our safety team directly at support@lakpage.com.

We take all reports seriously and typically respond within 24-48 hours. For urgent safety issues, please include "URGENT" in your email subject line.

8. Transparency

We are committed to transparency in our moderation practices. Admin notes are recorded for all moderation actions taken on pages and posts, creating an audit trail. Users whose content is removed or accounts are restricted will be informed of the reason.

9. Updates to These Standards

We may update these safety standards from time to time to reflect changes in our platform, legal requirements, or community needs. We encourage users to review this page periodically. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or email.
