Welcome to LakPage. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the LakPage mobile app and website (together, the "Platform"), operated by ChatCript Technologies (Pvt) Ltd ("ChatCript", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Platform you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may only use the Platform with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these Terms on your behalf.
2. Accounts & Sign-in
- LakPage uses Google Sign-In and Apple Sign-In only. We never see or store a password for you.
- You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your Google/Apple ID secure.
- Provide accurate information in your profile. Misrepresentation may lead to suspension.
3. Your Content
You retain ownership of the content you post on the Platform — posts, comments, photos and content you add to a page. By posting content, you grant ChatCript a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Platform.
- You must own the content or have the right to share it.
- You must not upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property rights.
- You may delete your content at any time. When you delete it, we stop displaying it on the Platform.
4. Pages & the AI Chatbot
Any signed-in user may create an Page. If you create or administer an Page, you are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the information you publish on its profile, its posts, and any documents or knowledge base entries you add to the AI chatbot.
- Do not impersonate another person, business or institution when creating an Page.
- The AI chatbot answers visitor questions based on the knowledge base you provide. Answers are generated by an AI model (DeepSeek) and may not always be accurate or complete. You are responsible for reviewing chatbot conversations and correcting your knowledge base where needed.
- Do not use the chatbot to provide medical, legal, financial, or safety-critical advice without appropriate professional review.
5. Payments & Chatbot Top-Ups
Page owners can purchase chatbot top-ups to add balance to their page's AI chatbot account. These are prepaid digital service credits consumed as visitors interact with the chatbot.
- Top-ups are currently handled by direct bank transfer. When you tap Purchase Tokens, we provide contact details (email and WhatsApp); reach out and we'll share bank-account details and credit your tokens once the transfer is received. LakPage never sees or stores your banking credentials.
- Prices are agreed in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR) before you transfer. You agree to pay the amount confirmed during contact.
- Each top-up is a one-time payment. There are no subscriptions, recurring charges or auto-renewals.
- Chatbot balance is non-transferable between pages.
- If your page is suspended or terminated for a Terms violation, any remaining chatbot balance may be forfeited.
- Refunds are handled according to our Refund Policy.
6. Prohibited Content & Conduct — Zero Tolerance
LakPage has zero tolerance for objectionable content, abusive behavior, or harassment of any kind. Accounts that post any of the following may be removed immediately and the user permanently banned, with or without prior notice:
- Illegal, violent, sexually explicit, harmful or hateful content.
- Harassment, bullying, discrimination, or hate speech.
- Child sexual abuse material, or any content that sexualises minors.
- Spam, phishing, scams, misleading information, or malware.
- Unauthorised advertisements or commercial promotions dressed up as organic content.
- Scraping, automated access, or interference with Platform security or performance.
- Using the Platform as a long-term file backup or cloud storage.
You acknowledge you may encounter content you find inappropriate and access it at your own risk.
7. Moderation
We may remove content, suspend features, or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe harm the community or the security of the Platform, with or without prior notice.
8. Reporting & Blocking
Users can report inappropriate content, pages or users from within the app via the flag icon on every post, comment and profile. We aim to review all reports within 24 hours and will remove offending content and eject users who post it. You may also block any other user from the post menu, the comment menu, or their profile — their posts and comments disappear from your feed instantly, and they can no longer message you. Blocked users can be reviewed and unblocked at any time from Settings → Privacy & Safety → Blocked users.
9. Privacy
Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use and protect your data.
10. Not a Storage Service
LakPage is a social platform, not a backup or long-term storage service. Keep your own copies of any photos, documents or media you consider important. We may delete content at any time for maintenance, security, legal compliance or Terms violations.
11. Availability & Limitation of Liability
The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for any particular purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChatCript is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Platform.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for Terms violations, illegal activity, misuse, or technical/security reasons.
13. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where the changes are material we will notify you through the Platform. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sri Lanka, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have in your country of residence.
